Cox|McLain Environmental Consulting Inc. (CMEC) is a HUB/DBE/WBE-certified environmental consulting firm founded in 2007 with offices in Dallas, Houston, and Austin, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our experienced staff includes biologists, wetland ecologists, planners, GIS specialists, archeologists, archival researchers, architectural historians, and a historic architect.

CMEC provides services critical to environmental and cultural resources clearance within regulatory frameworks such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Sections 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), the Department of Transportation Act (DOT Act), Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, and state antiquities codes. CMEC produces Categorical Exclusions (CEs), Environmental Assessments (EAs), Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), historic structures reports, archaeological reports, and other compliance/due-diligence documents.

We stand behind our work and offer full support services for the compliance process, such as expert testimony, on-site consultations, public involvement, and complete Administrative Records for EA/EIS projects. Our team has decades of collective management experience in regulatory compliance and a proven record of success in achieving clearance for complex projects.
